ok ipod problem
i dont know if i need the ipod connector that comes with the car to watch videos. but i have an AUX cable YELLOW and WHITE that plugs into the aux ports and the other end goes into the Headphone jack of the ipod. i hit the aux button the movie is playing on the Ipod but not the screen. The sound from the movie is playing on the speakers but not the video. and from time to time the message video will be resumed when vehicle is stopped but the car is in park not moving. i tried turning everything off and back on nothing works. any ideas/suggestions?

Well for starters its going to be extremely hard to get a picture from the headphone jack. :7:

well idk i figured if the headphone jack goes from the ipod and splits into a yellow and white wire there must be a reason that it has a yellow wire on the other side why would it be there. i guess ineed the ipod connector

i posted somewhere earlier that you don't need the apple connector, just swap the white/red with the yellow connnectors into the aux and it'll all work, you don't need apples connector, just swap the colors till it works.

Like above, it only works on the older iPods prior to the iPod Touch/Classic/iPhone generation. I know cause I've tried on my iPhone before and it does not work. You MUST use the Apple Composite AV cable if you want video output for the new line of Apple products from now on.
http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...nplm=MB129LL/A i had to use the apple wires for video in my z: black ipod wires for mp3's and charges the ipod as well. http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/2926/dsc05272ow4.jpg white "official" apple wires for videos/movies. needs to be plugged into outlet for charging: http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/7659/dsc05274eg3.jpg http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/4325/dsc05273gk0.jpg spiderman on my 7" farenheit lcd screen: http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/6880/dsc05288aw1.jpg |
i went to teh dealer and got the 'ipod cable' that comes with the car and the video doesnt . so now your saying i have to get a different cable if i want to play videos the official one for $49 from the apple site. that sucks
