Blood Drive, go donate some blood!!
Back in November, I found out my wifes father had cancer. Its a pretty late stages of cancer, and they had to do Chemotherapy. Well one of the side effects happens to be platelets.
Anyhow, as a result I now donate blood as often as I can and would like to encourage others to do the same, Giving blood can really help save a life.
A few link for you if your interested.

I just donated my blood about 3 weeks ago in a Blood Drive nearby.
They were also offering $10 Starbucks card or 2 AMC movie tickets and a free USC t-shirt.
I was very happy that I did a right thing and got all these free stuffs at the same time.

Think about Plasma donation as well
Women can no longer donate plasma. With half the donor base gone, most blood banks need plasma donors. You can easily donate every four weeks (whole blood donors are limited to every eight weeks), and with a little extra work, can donate multiple times each month. Grab a book, an iPod, or both, and relax for an hour or so at the blood bank.
And afterwards, that mug of beer will go farther than usual.
