245 tire on 10" wheel?

Would like to run 370Z wheels on a G37 sedan. I know the front will be set in a little and the rear will poke a little. Will have to see how it is in person before seeing whether to use spacers. I would like to use a square set tires 245/40-19. Will it fit on the 10" wide rear wheel or will it be too much of a stretch? According to Tire Rack, the Hankook Ventus V12 K120 is rated up to a 9.5" wheel.

If it won't work, does anybody in SoCal want to pick up a set of 275/35-19 Ventus tires (to be valid for the current rebate) and swapping two with me to get a staggered set.

It's a pretty good stretch, but it's been done pretty often, 245s are considered a standard mount on up to 9.5s so it's not real severe.

So Brad - with those same wheels, could you run 275/35s (10",+30) on the rear and 245/40s (9",+47) on the front of an X sedan? I get a good % on the tire/rim calculator (less than 1%). But would the AWD freak out at high speeds or tramline?

Or should I be looking at other wheels (I know I shouldn't be looking at any wheels at all...but...).

Thanks,
Sean

Gotta keep wheel shopping Sean, this economy ain't going to stimulate itself, lol

A better combo would be a 245/40 285/35, the rear tire is 0.5% larger in back so over time it will get closer to zero. The 245/275 set is 0.5% smaller in back so that variance will increase over time (since the rears wear faster) and if it gets to 1% you may have AWD issues at higher speeds. Plus the 285s look badas$!

Thanks Brad.

I'm considering getting a set like this so can run some PSSs for summer and using the current set with all-weather Conti's for the other times.

A was a bit concerned that the 10" might rub, but I have the full F&R camber kits, so I think there's some wiggle room there. And they will clear the BBK without spacers, but I may go with them on the front to flush it up a bit. I have to see and measure once I get them on.

And thanks. I think this set up with the 370Z sports will look bada$$ on the sedan too. And they'll show off the BBK to great effect.

The rear Z wheels are real aggressive for a 285 so a better combo would be a 235/40 275/35 I think the 285s will hit the fender edge without running heavy camber. And the 235/275 set is 0.67% larger in back, so it's a bingo!
