Hey guys summers around the corner so I'm in the process of buying some wheels.

I have decided to go with Niche Forms, I talked to the local shop and they suggested the following set ups

19" x 8.5/9.5

20" X 8.5/10

Im leaning towards the 20" set up, but I am worried that the 8.5 will look out of place. The wheels comes in 20x8.5,10,10.5. Should I go 10F/10.5R ?

The 20x8.5 will be fine for the front, nothing wrong with that. It will allow you to run a more even tire setup in terms of overall diameter. 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear. That will give you a staggered look (semi-concave front and deep concave rear) but if you want a square look (deep concave all around) go with the 10 or 10.5.

voha, do you have a coupe or sedan, and big sport brakes, or plans to upgrade to them?
This will determine what wheel offsets/widths you can run.

Thats my dilemma right now, 8.5/10 vs 10/10.5
Its going to be my first big purchase for my car and I don't want to regret it, haha.

I have a 2012 G37Xs coupe, which I think come with the big sport brakes?

With AWD you need to be very selective regarding which tire combos to run if you go staggered. Having the big sport calipers also can limit you in the front depending on your wheel selection. If you don't plan to lower your coupe the 19s will typically look better as the fender gap will "appear" to be smaller. Also the slightly taller sidewalls w/ the 19s will result in a more comfortable ride (depending on the tires you run). A 19x9.5 +35 running up to 275/35/19 tires will fit well, and you can do a true 4 wheel rotation to extend tread life. The wheels should clear the big brakes but that's something you MUST confirm w/ the vendor. Brake clearance can be tricky w/ some wheel designs.

I do have plans to lower on coils in the near future, the wheels do clear the big brakes, and the tire measurement he gave me were I believe 1.1% so the it would work with the AWD. Im fairly set on 20" since I want a bigger wheel than what is on my car right now, but I'm not sure whether to go with 8.5/10 or 10/10.5. Im not even sure if the 10 will work on the front?

What tire sizes did he give you, if you start w/ a 1.1% variance and your rear tire is already slightly smaller than your front you may have issues since the rears wear faster. With 20s there are combos that are much better than 1.1%.

What size tires should I be running? I was thinking, 245/40/19F and 265/30/19R?

Now I'm considering going square set up, 20" X10 all around.
so i can rotate tires, but I'm wondering if the 8.5/10 might give it a better look ?

Depends what kind of look do you want. 20x10 square will be dual concave while staggered will look flat/semi concave in front and deep concave in rear.

another wheel question,
went to the shop today, guy suggest the following set up

20X10.5 +30 mounted on 255/35R20

Is this an acceptable set up, he did some calculations and said they should fit, I just want to double check

Just make sure the wheels will fit over the big brakes. 20x10.5 +30 is fairly aggressive, but if you're lowered I think you can pull it off. You might need to trim some fender brackets for extra clearance. Also the 255 tire will be stretched on a 10.5 wheel.
