Question Current VPP Incentives & Cash - $2,750, or not???

Hey guys, I'm about to go buy a 2011 G37s (Auto w/ Sport, Prem, Nav) Sedan on VPP. I bought my first G in '05 using the "old" plan, where the equation for the price was stated clearly on the insidenissan.com website.

Looking at Business Associate Savings | Inside Nissan USA | Nissan and Infiniti Vehicle Purchase Program currently, though, it shows "sample pricing," which according to the friendly (but unhelpful ) people on the VPP 800 number is between me and the dealer.

So: The site currently says there's a total of $2,750 in discounts:
(from Business Associate Savings | Inside Nissan USA | Nissan and Infiniti Vehicle Purchase Program as of 12/28/10)
2011 G37 Sedan Journey
G37 Sedan Journey
MSRP $35,050
VPP Price $32,385

VPP Discount $1,250
Holiday Bonus Cash $1,500

My claim form from my dealer, though doesn't match that. It shows:
VPP Discount $1,500
"Other Infiniti Incentives (Owner Loyalty, etc.) $0

Should I expect to see a total of $2,750 in discounts on that form, or not? What's going on here?

~ Mike

just go to your salesperson and ask for the maximum incentives available. notice on that website you quote that the VPP and Bonus are applied AFTER the VPP price and that the total $ incentive available for your model is $5,415. ask for that $5,415 reduction on the MSRP.

I got a lease offer for $7,000 off MSRP.

Hey, Thanks Bill! That's actually part of my problem. The site gives details for a Journey, but not a Sport (with various add'l options) so it's not a direct comparison. :-/

Here's the latest VPP Claim form my sales consultant's given me:

So what am I missing here?

What's the additional $550 shipping for?

It's a Sport 6MT RWD, model code 91561 (MSRP 40325, including $875 destination charge) right? So you've got $1750 (MSRP) in options?

Yeah, ignore the $550 shipping. That was for them to trailer a car from Dallas. I've since picked a different color.

It's actually a 91311, which *should* be a G37 Sport Auto (which implies Premium), with a single extra option, the Navigation package, which has a MSRP of $1,850.

So my pricing (all at MSRP should be):
$35,050 (base price)
+ $2,150 (premium)
+ $2,150 (sport)
+ $1,850 (nav)
=
$41,200 (subtotal)
+ $875 Destination / Handling
=
$42,075

OH, OK, you mean the sport *package* not the sport model. So the $42075 then makes sense for MSRP with the sport, premium and nav packages, but the invoice should be $38587, not $38727. Not a big difference, but still...

PS back to your original question, knowing now that it's a model 91311, with some options, you should get the full $2750 below invoice it sure seems to me.

Ah, I think we figured it out. :-) If you look at the claim form I posted, the "VPP Base Price" includes the $1,250. I was trying to double-count that, I think.

Also, Bill, check out Nissan and Infiniti Vehicle Purchase Program - Get Your VPP Claim ID for the codes. A month or so ago their "company code search" was failing for me, but it worked like a charm a week or so ago. Once you have your company code, you can enter it to get a personalized code.

Mike, just wondering, do you have a trade-in with your VPP purchase, and if so, did you get what you wanted for it, or do they tend to be on the low side w/ trade-in offers once you mention VPP?

Hey clutch, I'm not trading anything in, since my younger brother (who just wrapped up college) is buying my '05 G Sedan.

To Bill, you maybe SOL, unfortunately. :-/ The numbers aren't transferrable.

I bought my 2011 G37 Journey with Sport and Nav during thanksgiving for $39k OTD. If i remember right it was $35,600 (Approx) before taxes and other fees.

I hope this will help you...Also, I have illuminated Kick plates and splash guards other than usual cargo net, first aid kit and Trunk mat.

$35600 would be about $3400 below invoice. If so, you are the king of deals! The Atlanta area has the best prices through the Zag network ($2750 below invoice, like VPP) but I didn't know they were discounting even more than that. However I think they were only around 1200 below invoice around thanksgiving (through Zag)

I started my deal with VPP and then utilized the ZAG/True Car quotes. In couple of days, i got 3 dealers doing price war. I remember that my actual price was around $3560 below invoice but the Doc fee was around $599 or something to cover up some gap.

Give me an hour...i will give the actual numbers rather than what i remember....
