Question A/C issues

I searched for similar threads regarding this issue and could not come up with the exact same problem I am experiencing with my air conditioning.

My A/C started giving me issues about 4 months ago where it would not cool. Just hot air. I took it to a private A/C repair shop and the guy ended up replacing my compressor. A few days after this happened, I noticed my A/C was shooting "fresh air", but not really nut-busting cold as I would expect with a new compressor (excuse my ignorance regarding this subject).

Not only this, but whenever I leave my car on idle with the A/C blasting, after maybe 10-15minutes, it starts blowing hot air.... wtf. I took it back to the shop and the only thing the guy could tell me was to "touch the A/C lines, they're freezing, there's nothing wrong".

Anyone know wtf is going on? Any help is appreciated!

What is the idle speed? I am battling a low idle issue and one of the symptoms was a/c shutting off.

I mean while the car is sitting on neutral (I got the 6MT), just on idle. After some time the A/C gets super hot.

You made a big mistake

I hope you paid the A/C repair shop by credit card?

Take it to the dealer.

Have the dealer repair your AC and provide you in writing what the so called repair guy f*ed up.
Request a charge back from your credit card provider for poor workmanship from the so called AC repair guy

+1 on what telcoman said.

Certain things, like transmission and AC issues are dealer-only repairs, IMHO--they know the car and the points of failure better than anyone. Unless, of course, you can find an independent shop that specializes in imports.

Eh, that happens to the best of us man. I know that dealers are sometimes more expensive than independent shops but I just chalk it up to peace of mind that for that (maybe higher) price that they'll get it right.

I had my transmission fluid (7AT) flushed and changed a few months ago. They charged $219 for it but I knew it was done properly and haven't had any issues.

Good luck with your A/C and I hope the dealer doesn't charge you too much.
