Never heard of that term before but when I looked it up, yes ... tramlining. I don't think it has anything to do with the AWD, just some places I drive on a regular basis I notice it. I'm 99.9% convinced it's the tires. You have peeked my interest in reducing body roll

BTW for you M owners, if you are looking to swap out the interior bulbs with LED, the map (or dome) lights are a pain to find. They have the old BNC type base. I bought these and they are pretty good. Wish they were a tad brighter but they get the job done. They also don't do a nice of a job as incandescents with the "fad to black" but that's LED in general.

I see they now carry them in 5K. they didn't back at the time I ordered them. I typically go with 5K bulbs from V-LED as they are nice and white, zero hint of blue.

Here's an awesome writeup from a member at nicoclub. He provides ebay links for the bulbs but also has a chart made up for the sizes, connections and lights he used for his interior swap.

Yes. Tramlining is when the tires follow the ruts or grooves in the road. It is typical with high performance summer tires (depending on the tread design). I have not noticed tramlining with these tires on our roads here.

Reducing body roll would probably degrade the suspension to a point where you personally would not be happy with the ride of the car. This typically comes in the form of lowering, increased spring rates and thicker sway bars, which would result in a more rigid suspension, but obviously take away from the comfort of the car you love so much. It's a compromise between comfort and performance. Unfortunately, we do not have options out there other than BC coilovers to assist with suspension, for AWD owners anyway. There's just not a market for them except the rare few.

Yeah, I don't want to do a drop or mess with the spring rate ... wonder what just a beefier sway bar do? I have the 18" rims, if they ever get gooberd up I could jump to 19" with the same sidewall height .... guess that would reduce the gap by 1/2" :-(

What he has for the dome is wrong, they are not 168 wedge bulbs. ebay lights are a crap shoot, V-Led and DD are the best but DD doesn't carry that bulb. I have been using V-LED for years (with zero issues) because they offer many of their bulbs in 5K or 6K and like I said 5K is very pure white.

his number reference for the front dome light is in fact incorrect but he has pictures that show that the bulbs are in fact ba9s..

Thank you sir! There's so much I want to do to the car...in time I've got the R2C intake that I want to put in. Looks like it just needs slight modification but I should be able to do it with no issues.

None at all. It might take a little longer to cure if there's less sunlight but that's about it. No need to wait
