Need smog help
My g failed smog because of my R2C intake. All other tests passed...damn tech wouldn't overlook the intakes tho. Anyone know a shop that will? ASAP...714-7371209... Like..thanks

Sorry bro, but only a 'dishonest shop' would try to scam the system. Years ago any shop could, now that everything is transmitted to the CARB, they would risk losing their license. If your R2C cold air has a CARB sticker on it, but chances are few if any cold air intakes have that approval for street use. Just put the OEM back on, after you pass, do whatever you want to do. I learned the hard way too, so I can relate. Good luck, Tom from the IE

Do internet search of junk yards and salavage yards just find a VQ37VHR that was rear ended. G37 or 370Z. Look in both fourms for sale sections. Good luck!

Hi guys. Im moving from New York to California this spring and will be registering my car in California. That being said, I will have to do this smog emissions thing before I can register. I currently have the R2C intakes installed here in NY. Do I have to install my OEM intakes to pass smog as well?
Also, CA law says vehicles 6 years old or newer are exempt from smog inspections. My car is a 2012. I guess I'm good for now??
EDIT; As my car is out of state and first time getting it registered in Cali, the 6 year rule doesn't apply to me. Looked up this intake problem on other car forums. Best solution is install stock intakes temporarily. Pain in the ***. It's a good thing that most cops only mess with Honda owners.
