Went to the dealer today and saw the 2011 IPL coupe and 2011 Limited Edition (LE) vert (similar styling to the anniversary edition vert from 2010)
I gotta say the IPL coupe does not look bad from the front in person. However since it was in black it's possibly I'm not easily offended by the front lip as much.
I had the sales guy show me the LE vert and apart from the chrome, it's also very nice in malbec black. The black headlights on both cars really give it a different look. I don't think I'd pay 57.6k MSRP for the LE vert though. (paddle shifters, heated and cooled seats, 9.3Gb HDD, NAV,premium, red interior is probably the bulk of the extra cost plus the "different/reused annivesary edition sides" front and sides, plus fog lights on the bumper, plus midnight grille). They would both still need drops though.
I arrived at the service stop and it was an all red affair
Red g37 sedan, red fx35 SUV and red g37s vert . Yes the stars are indeed aligned.

Yeah I like the changes. Not the performances changes people want, but will still sell very well to those that don't modify.
The more I see the red, the more I wish it was just a tad darker. I love red leather, but this is just a bit too bright for me. That being said...I'd rock it...

When I went to look at the le sedative I had a bunch of bmoore paint chips with me......the red interior matches dinner party red, for those who want an idea of the color without seeing it in person.

I saw an IPL last weekend. Is the exhaust really any better than the stock one? I looked at the tips, and they aren't actually bigger. They have a black filling that leads to a smaller pipe inside, fake large pipes disappointed me. The IPL just looked like an appearance package to me, but it does make 18 more hp.

Another thing that bugs me is tail pipes. Especially multiple tips that are not actually real, like on the Lexus IS F. Quad tips, but the single sided exhaust outlet is actually not even connected to the fakie tips. Some Corvettes & Porches have quad tips but one of a pair is only welded to the can. Apparently one of the advantages of riding so low is you get to pull up behind other cars and look right up their tailpipes. Not a pastime I'm especially proud of. I'm just saying.
