Max Tire Size for 20x8.5 +20 20x10 +25 Wheels

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum.. well kinda, I've been on here getting answers for all my questions even before I got my G for a couple months now. It wasn't until now that I wasn't able to find an answer for a question. Anyways, I've lowered my car on eibach's pro kit, and now I'm looking to upgrade these stock 17's to something a bit more substantial. I've been looking at a wheel-set with the dimensions 20x8.5 in the front with a +20 offset, and in the rear they are 20x10 +25 offset and I was wondering what would be the largest tires I could fit with on them. In addition, would you recommend me to roll/pull my fenders to fit these, if so what tire size should I go then. Really looking forward to any response. Thanks!

@blnewt - Brad (probably butchered the username) should be able to help you out, but 20x10 +25 seems quite aggressive for a sedan. You'll likely need some -camber and some pull to fit that. My guess is 275 is as wide as you'd go on the tire.

Nope, you nailed it kiseliok

Welcome to the site Walks, you'll need a lot of work to get that set looking proper on a sedan. A 8.5 +30 and 10 +45 will allow you to run the proper mounted tires such as a 245/35/20 front and 285/30/20 rear. The set you mentioned would require very stretched tires and the wheels would still poke well outside the fenders. For wheel specific help check this folder~

Thanks so much for the info! I think I'm gonna stay always from those wheels. I have another set I was eyeing that is a square 20x10 +38. What size tires would you run on those without rubbing?

I'm running 18x9.5 +38 on 245s. You'll be a bit outside the fender edge with the wheels, but if you run a 255/35/20 they should tuck into the fender ok, but again, it will be tight.
Here's my setup, keep in mind your 10+38 will be about 1/4" out from mine.

I just found a great local deal on some avant garde m510's (one of my favorite wheels), however he has them on his 370z running 20x8.5 20x10 +20 on 245/30/20 and 285/30/20. Seems really aggressive for a g but could I pull/roll my fenders to make that work or would it look really stupid if I did? Do you know anyone who has fit wheels this size on a sedan, I want to see a picture with the fenders pulled?

I'd steer clear of +20s on a sedan, fender pulling rarely looks good, it can be done well but not often the case. Plus your G wouldn't be able to be returned to stock at a later date (which is useful so you can get max $$ on your parts when you sell or trade your G down the road and a modded body on a G rarely adds value to most buyers).
If you want that style wheel I'd just keep searching, you shouldn't have much trouble finding ones that will fit without any of the headaches, plus those tires are too wide so you'd have to run stretched tires w/ those specs too

One last fitment question.. I found a nice set of wheels on Craigslist they're 20x8.5 +28 & 20x10 +40. What would be a widest tires I should run, would they look good lowered on eibachs, also if I ever upgraded to the sport brakes would they fit? Thanks so much for all your help!

Those are pretty good offsets for a sedan and should fit without any problems even with a drop. I'd recommend 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 or 285/30/20. Not sure about BBK clearance, you may want to check with the manufacturer or vendor.

I ran 295s on my 20x10+45 so the 285s will fit on 10+40, but keep in mind some tires & brands run wider than others so it could be pretty close. I run low camber at -1.0 so if you camber up a bit to like -1.5 you'll be fine if the tire happens to run a bit wider.
