Hello! New to Me G37x
Hello there people!
Just picked up my (new to me) 2011 G37x. One owner, 24,7xx miles, and no accidents or other negatives to be found.
So far I'm in love with this Sedan!
I came from the VW/Audi scene , and I'm just sick of the hipster / scene-ster crowd that follows those cars. I have a Jetta race car, now dedicated to the track. I do all the ECU tuning myself so the UpRev ECU / Osiris Tuner is right up my alley. I'm very excited to see this since I was contemplating using a Vi-Pec Standalone PnP ECU, but as I don't plan on doing anything drastic it's not really needed.
I am looking into a decent set of Coilovers with adjustable dampening. I don't want to lose handling or ride quality. I'd like to gain actually while closing some of the 4x4 style wheel gap on the 37x. This concept is frowned upon in the VW world...Unless you're breaking isht because you're so low you're no valid
I am also looking for a clean gauge setup, possibly even an all in one screen (APEXi, HKS have them I believe) for real time monitor ing of wideband AFR, Oil Pressure, and Oil Temp for now. (suggestions with pics would be great)
I have owned several Z's over the years but the "real" Z's 240,260 and 280z and zx models and getting back into the Nissan world was inevitable. I did plan on going with a 370z then, a G37s Coupe,
G37xs coupe then I decided on the 37x sedan. The paddle shifters were a must but I couldn't find one that met my criteria (2011+ / under $30k). Lucky me, I find out that I can retrofit the shifters in quite easily with the purchase of a very affordable kit. WIN/WIN!
Here's a few pics of my new baby:

Congrats on what appears to be a nice clean sedan, and welcome to the site, glad you found us.
As far as coilovers, if you don't mind $1800 give or take, you can't go wrong w/ KW V3, the KWv1 are significantly cheaper but don't have damping adjustment, but are set up well for spririted daily driving out of the box.
Enjoy your new G and check out these folders for more suspension info~

Post up some pics of your VW racer and some of your old Zs if you have the time.

Nice pick up man, Welcome, On the X there IMO no coilover options, unless you want the rears to clunk , BC racing makes coil-overs, Sold mine almost immediately due to harsh ride and the clunk noise in the rear( Common on the X) and Fortune 500 just made a set not to long ago but only a few have them. There are X owners with coils that don't clunk but to me its hit or miss and for $1800 that's a pricey "maybe" wont make noise :/ , The site is awesome BTW tons of info.
