Very Nice. My G35 sedan ran 13.40 stock. It's nice to see the 37's running faster.

Sedan running low 13's stock...am I out of the loop or is that faster than the Coupe? I thought the stock Coupe - S was mid 13's.

well from what I understand the coupe is alittle slower from it weighing alittle more and being a 6 speed manual. People think that because its smaller and has two doors its lighter then a 4 door sedan. Well the coupe being smaller requires more reinforcements to keep it strong and safe. While the 4 door is alittle bigger but does not need the extra reinforcements because of its size which the extra materials for its size weighs less. Now the 6 speed manual..gearing is taller and shifts wont be as quick or instant like the 7 speed auto in these G's. I notice under load the trans pressure increases for harder more instant shifts. My friend has a G6 GXP 6 speed auto. He did a drop resister mod on his trans and now it shifts instantly like our 7 speeds do under harder acceleration. I have driven 6 speeds before and the car feels slower from it taking longer to run through the gears. I can shift pretty quick but this 7 speed I don't think I can shift that quick lol. Sorry for the long post but sometimes details help =) I plan on putting 4.08 gears in the rear over the summer so that should put me in the 12's under stock configuration =)

So you're saying those 18 pounds make the Sedan faster even though it has 20 less horsepower?

I know the weight difference isn't much but every little bit counts when it comes to drag racing. Also I wonder how they managed more hp from that year and trim coupe. The performance line model is alittle more hp and tq over the base. But either way I have not seen a 13.1 with a 1.8 60 foot out of a stock coupe manual. But if someone has done it please chime in =)

The longer wheel base is better in straight line acceleration. Also in the most basic form the g37 or q40 sedans weight about ~3500lbs (with out sunroof, premium system and navigation).
These cars are underrated.

G37Sedan83 what tire pressure did you run? Im not stock got tp and cbe with no tune tho and wider tires all around, which helps grip but too much resistance in front doesnt help to put good times. I ran similar 1/8 times 8.5 at 84.5 on a warm day 75F. Also what launch technique did you use? did you build up rpm or just rammed it? ( still have not gone to 1/4 mile track).

I just hold at 1900 rpm and on green let off the brake and punch it at the same time. I mostly hit 1.9 60 foot and done a few 1.8's by this method and hitting 8.4 1/8 mile time. Im just running the required tire pressure that's rated for the tire. I think like 35-38 or so psi. I have cheap tires right now, if I get a good set on and launch harder I could prolly stay in the 1.8's most of the time. Your name sounds familiar, you know a guy named kevin hall by chance? lol

Your power rating is off. Standard G37S coupe makes 330...NOT 348.

Also, the coupe has way heavier 19 inch wheels, which means an even heavier 19 inch tire. The sedan has lighter 18 inch wheels with lighter 18 inch tires. This right here makes a HUGE difference in acceleration.

Ive owned both a 2012 G37S Sedan in 6MT and I now own a 2014 "Q60S" Coupe in 6MT. Without even arguing or debating, my sedan was FASTER, point and period. Easily .3-.4 seconds faster in the quarter if I had to butt gauge it, that sedan was a beast.

The coupe sounds way better though
