SHOEI is a reputable brand. I had two while I was riding sport bikes. Now it's Harleys or Bust!
AHHHHEMMM..... Now have another sports bike to keep my harley company in the garage.... K6 GSXR 1000! SHOEI QWEST helmet... Approx. $400 light, and comfortable, many vents, and some pretty cool graphics if you prefer.

I got a simple / basic Bell full face with SA2010 rating. Some event might inspect your helmet to make sure that they are SA rated, not M.
My advice is get the best helmet that you are comfortable paying for, lighter is better.
BTW, anybody got neck brace thing to run road courses? which one you have?

When I was autoXing and doing track days, my Shoei M helmet was always approved. I may have been lucky in that regard. It was only when I started racing LeMons that I HAD to acquire an SA helmet. I don't recall the brand, it's not handy for me to check.
The nice thing about motorcycle helmets is you can try them on at any motorcycle dealer. I had to hope the mail-order SA helmet fit acceptably.
