^^I'd rather pay the premium and not butcher the factory wiring
Any comments on use of the stock bulb with this mod?

The resistors that are included in the wiring of the plug and play kit. You can't use both the stock bulb and the resistors
If you have any questions about the kit's functionality, please send us an email:

Personally, I wouldn't leave the stock bulb in there. It kinda defeats the purpose of utilizing the clean factory LED assemblies

We are still sourcing the factory connectors for the G35/G37 Sedans. The G35/G37/Q60 Coupes all use the same connectors

Right, it's one or the other. Electrically both (resistor + bulb) won't work as it'll confuse the BCM with the extra load.
Visually, I'd think having the bulb blink with the LED would be more effective than just the led ring. I'm looking at this from a functional perspective, not cosmetic or appearance. Anything to aid a distracted driver recognize intent to turn or perform a lane change.

They are perfectly visible when braking, so the output when signaling will also suffice IMO
The Dodge Caravan has a very similar tail light appearance and works just fine:

Now, if you made a destructive laser to fit in the vacant turn signal bulb to handle tailgaters...

Would I need to take off tail light to remove the stock bulb?? If yes would probably just keep them in just cause. Any problems if they were removed?

You don't need to remove the stock bulb, it's just no longer used at all. If you do want to remove the bulb though, yes, you'd need to take off your tail light. But it's totally fine just being left in there.

Just to clarify, the resistors are pre-wired on the G37 Plug and Play kit. You won't be splicing or doing any wiring

We haven't had a convertible in for testing, but I don't foresee there being any differences in the connector as long as it's a two-door
