Hey, saw that you and RedG37SNC are the two people from Charlotte on this forum, lol... now there's a third. I moved down here from NY few months ago and looking to meet some like minded people. I got a 2009 G37X-S in blue slate, dark tints, INJEN exhaust that i put in... was a fun little project.
anyways, thought i'd reach out.
any fun events going on in Charlotte in the near future?
i know Metrolina is having a drift event Sept 18th... i'll probably end up checking it out.
Hey Man thanks for your comment I just noticed on bottom of my page. I felt I was cheated a bit lol! Our forum G Mod owners are picky but out in the real world I get lots of compliments on my G. Thanks again dude!
thanks much; too bad its discontinued great look for the price!!!! I will look to see if I can find some or my options will get more expensive for sure!
I'm running 275x30 on 9.5 inch in the rear with 245x35 on 8.5 inch in the front. As far as the rims go, I have bent one twice of them by hitting a pothole. Had it repaired the first time but can still drive fine the 2nd time. The bolt pattern for the G has been discontinued. No paint issues.
mike my impression of the MXP is that it is definately louder than stock. But it is not tinny like some rice burner exhausts. and there is no drone at lower rpms. From 3500-4000 rpm to redline it howls in a good way!!! It sound more like a european sports car such as a massurati, or ferrari, you will turn heads or scare folks depending on how heavy your foot is ....All I can tell you is I find myself driving with the window open just to listen to the music
Yea red was my very first option, it's very eye catching. Thanks man. Yea I swapped out my borla for the MXP on tuesday and I absolutely love the sound I get out of that exhaust. I liked the borla too though, its a great sounding exhaust, deep and mean.
For intakes it just depends on what you prefer. I went with injens because theres no cutting involved.. but yes i guess you could argue that the injen's have more potential to hydrolock.
I have not had any issues with that so far though.. and you'd have to submerge it completely for it to happen. You can't go wrong with either, and the Stillen Gen 3's have an awesome drive-by sound because its right there next to the grill.
