Ark exhaust upgrades

Hey guys I have an 09 g37x coupe with ark grip exhaust. Ive heard a lot about high flow cats and tbh I have no idea what they are or what the benefits are. Ark is having a sale for their high flow cats and was wondering if it was worth it. Im assuming that it is not something that comes with the full exhaust system. Any help would be appreciated! Also just read it only fits RWD and manual trans? is that right?

The general consensus is that the factory cats (perhaps especially on a higher mileage vehicle) are the biggest choke point on these cars. Upgrading them will probably "free up" more power than any other exhaust mod. You are correct that they are not part of a typical exhaust system. They are an integral part of the factory emissions controls so most (all?) company's exhausts leave them as a separate part so they can sell their product in locales where modifying the emissions controls is a legal hindrance.

I'm fairly sure Fast Intentions has a high flow cat for that application.

The berk technology are one of the most popular HFC setups we sell and they fit the all versions of the G37

They also pair very nicely with the Ark setup

What would be the biggest difference with that compared to ark test pipes?

Well first off the Ark test pipe is not in stock even at Ark with no current ETA.

But a test pipe is going to have no restriction however you will probably throw a CEL light
