Test pipes???

check youtube for tons of videos of catbacks paired with test pipes.
if not paired correctly test pipes add lots of rasp and crappy noise. if paired correctly they could be intoxicating. the same goes for HFC. I would look to find a good catback and that will make your exhaust actually sound good. hfc or test pipes and stock exhaust will not sound good at all, no matter which brand you go with. search for videos on youtube there are hundreds with all kinds of combinations

ok installed topspeed CBE 2 weeks ago, sounds great at idle but sounds like a honda civic when I really get into it . So I ditched the cheapo test pipes and put my stock cats back in .Now the exhaust sounds great ! I love the sound of the Topspeed exhaust ! The only thing I would also like to add is maybe a nice y-pipe.But overall I am very happy with the sound and with the quality of the topspeed CBE

I have a Stillen CBE.I was pretty happy with the sound,
I looked into a bunch of different HFC's, Stillen, berk etc. Looked at test pipes too.
I noticed all seemed to have some rasp.
Anyway I just added the FI RHFC's to my setup and it sounds great. It added a nice growl to part throttle acceleration. I don't notice any rasp after it's warmed up.
If you baby it, you can still keep the volume low, but on full open throttle it sounds the same as with my stillen exhaust, just over twice as loud as before.
the mechanics really loved the sound. I highly recommend the FI RHFC. I'm picky as hell too
