So it took me about 45 minutes to remove it because the pin was so tight in there. Waited three days on the spring it come in from across the U.S. (really fast shipping) Finally tried to put everything together but the pin literally was seized in the bracket and I couldn't push it back in. So I ended having to drill out the holes a little wider and putting vaseline on it to get the pin to finally go in. And tip for anyone in the future, you have to actually compress the spring a little when putting in the pin, it sits up a little bit higher then the rest position. Overall, the clutch feels absolutely amazing! It definitely doesn't clunk and jerk when getting out of first anymore. Every other gear is smooth, and downshifts are crisp. Even though it took me three hours to complete, I'm satisfied.

^^I wonder if some penetrating oil sprayed the night before might of helped. After 7 years, I suppose it may seize if never lubricated before. Were you able to move the pin side to side at all after unloading the pedal?

Vaseline as grease... Sure, why not. It's an area only subject to ambient temps, so unlikely it'll melt (the vaseline that is). Sometimes you just have to improvise

When I finally got the pin to let go with the original spring the whole thing fell apart. But the pin was still in the bracket just a little bit, so when I tried to reinstall it, is when I figured out the pin was seized. And I tried spraying PB blaster on it to get it come out and it didn't work so I used a vice grip and i beat it out with a screwdriver and hammer. I didn't have any grease so vaseline was my next thought

Can someone who has the spring installed let me know if it will make the clutch pedal stiffer/harder? I've been driving a 3000GT for the past 10+ years and the clutch pedal is quite hard so when I picked up my G, I couldn't believe how spongy the pedal felt. I've seen the RJM clutch pedal and am considering it but if the spring will make the pedal harder and I will be able to feel the engagement point better then I'd rather purchase this since it's so much cheaper. Thoughts?

The spring changes the feel (not all that much additional effort is needed). Makes it more progressive. The RJM allows you to change other aspects. Some just want better feel, others want full adjustability.

Couple of quick questions on the install:
1-does it matter which side of the spring is on top and which side is on the bottom?
2-when removing the old spring and installing the new spring, the clutch pedal has to be held down the entire time during both functions correct?

1) Spring is symmetrical, no definitive top or bottom
