Just got in. Did ~40 miles of combined city/hwy driving finishing up some shopping and other errands.

My set up was as follows from top to bottom, small spring, hat, replacement spring. With the small spring out, the pedal makes noise as its coming up since there's nothing to take up the slack left over by the little spring. I decided to leave it in. You can experiment to see which works better for you.

The little bit of slack with the clutch engaged (pedal up) is gone. As for clutch feel, it does feel slightly different than no spring at all. It's not better or worse than no spring, just different. Towards the end of the trip tonight, it was starting to feel more natural. I think after a few days of driving, the muscle memory will develop and it'll be second nature.

I will go so far as to say this - with a weaker spring or no spring it's a night and day difference compared to stock.

I'm off to finish up the rest of these labels..

Here's some comparison pics I took before installing. New spring is ~1/16" taller

They're all in the mail for everyone who's paid up through yesterday. Other than the ones going to Canada, I expect they should all be delivered by week's end. Thanks!

Something to keep in mind. If you've made other mods, you may need to make adjustments to get the best feel. This spring mod should not affect the two clutch switches, but do make sure both switches can be actuated.

In my case, the car was 100% stock, neither switch required adjustment. In fact, during cruise mode, the amount of movement in the freeplay is enough to trip the switch to disengage it.

Easier to reinsert the bottom pin with the pedal in the fully depressed position. Helps if you have a helper. Otherwise, just contort yourself a bit and it'll go right in. While you're in there, lube up the pivots and smaller diameter rod (upper piece).
