Multiple codes being thrown - Any body experience these?
#16
Just did this last night. So tight, I can't turn the screwdriver any more without resorting to machinery. I did adjust and tighten the hoses coming from the little port where a breather filter would be. I can't see this throwing a code though since it's after the MAF

0861-0868 are all pictures of the driver's side intake. After that it goes to the passenger side. Any questions in regards to the origins of the photos feel free to ask but I tried to do a picture from above but below the MAF at the first coupling, a shot looking up the tubing, then a shot showing the sleeve after the MAF looking up the piping to the TB, next shot is DOWN the piping from the upper sleeve towards the MAF, and last two shots are of the TB.

Loosened, tugged/adjusted the fittings in between the filters and MAF housing and re tightened everything and so far so good at 50 miles. Maybe there was a leak. Last time, everything looked good and I did a hard acceleration and the CEL popped and I haven't gotten into it in the 50 miles I've gone codeless. That being said, I believe something would've popped by now if there was an issue

Ha ha - let me get through my first emissions test first.
It's running good, no CELs, and I just gave both cars a full detail this weekend so not bored as of right now/car got enough attention, but that usually doesn't last long. I'll give it a shot one day this week and see what happens. I want to say I'm surprised by the codes being thrown with just a CAI but the Stillen Gen 3 doesn't exactly go in without a fight so that being said I'm glad everything seems to be settled.

If you got a leak the water will pull or bubble it's a snorkel for your car it has longer distance to draw air for combustion so if car doesn't see oem range you get codes why short ram is easier. You should only really get code if you're idling not driving

The only time I had the code was when I did a hard pull from a 25-55 MPH zone. At about the 5500 range the CEL lit up. Idling, it has never produced a CEL.
SRI was not worth it in my eyes. Makes the Engine bay pretty but I prefer function - even if it is a short boost in HP/TQ. The VQ engine bay gets way too hot for a SRI to do anything in my opinion.
I did get into it this morning and everything seemed good to go. Scared to crank any harder on the fittings; might tear the silicone connectors.

I got sri with no issues in Texas. Again unless you're just idling all day it's not an issue. You won't tear them but I use dish soap on the connections when slipping on to help slide on and the soap just dries away a little goes a long way

That's not a bad idea. Could've used that when I was putting the gen 3 in because everything they said about that things fitment was true. I like the look of the SRI much more though. Engine bay eye candy for sure. I'm the second owner so I can only assume 37k since I've never changed them and I doubt they were before
