AC only blows cold on 60&61
So I just bought a G37, and the AC only blows cold on 60&61.
If I bump it up to 63, it blows hot cold.
I'm not sure why it does this.
The owner states thats its been like that, he is the only owner.
I don't catch this when I bought it. I turned the ac on but it was on 60 and I never thought about moving the ****. I checked for other things once I saw that the ac blows cold. (I assumed it worked normally)
Does any one know what it could be?
I googled a lot and searched but didn't find much to the problem.
Any help would be nice.
Thanks!

ive had that problem too one and off. from what i was told by the dealer, there are something like 3 different sensors that monitor light input/temperature. and the coldness of the a/c depends on what the 3 sensors are sensing. not sure how accurate that is, but i definitely have noticed what you are describing, but it seems to only happen on cloudy days and non over 100 degree days, if that makes any sense.

Has it given you any problems with your actual ac.
But did you happen to ask how much it costs to fix?
Thanks for sharing with me!

Definitely sounds like a sensor or programming issue. Clearly the air can blow cold but it's not doing it consistently. You could just keep the temp at 60 and adjust the fan speed to control your air temp. Obviously you lose the auto part of the auto climate control system but it's not a devastating issue.
Congrats on the new car. Post pics!!!

I had this same problem on my 04 G35X and it was because the in car air temperature sensor was unplugged. It was located in the right side of the panel that goes across under the steering wheel which is called the knee bolster.

My car just started doing this today. It's exactly as you describe. 62 degrees starts to heat up.
Also, if I enable auto, out shoots only out the feet vents. Even set to 60 degrees, it shoots out the foot vents.
Edit:
Even a 2014 Q50 behaves this way. Could it be by design? I just want 63 to mean 63. I don't want my car to adjust this based on outside temperature.
