Hello Im thinking of buying a 2009 g37x IT has nav and the Bose system I looked at the car last night and it ran and drove fine IT was snowing so I couldn't really open it up much but seemed to shift good how ever at idle the fan kept coming on and off is that normal It would only stay on for a second or so? the car has a R title and the front headlight was a little loses and the grille could use some adjusting but I can get the car for $6500 Is that a ok price? has around 115k on it is there any common problems? I always owned Subaru's so Im new to these thanks!'s

Dude, use punctuation! You are going to get a lot of different opinions which are not going to help you. Everyone has different standards when buying cars. Some people have higher income, lesser income, some are willing to work on cars, and some may not. The question is not whether we think the car is of good value, but what are your reasons and situation for selecting this car?

I would pass, even for that price. A car with a rebuilt title, in most cases, are not good investments. Likely to have problems down the road.

If your budget is less than $10k, try looking at 07-08 G35 sedans. They are pretty much the same car, except with a slightly less-powerful (but still powerful) 3.5 liter engine.

This would be just a daily for me as I have two other vehicles I would like to keep off the road in the winter to avoid the harsh salty roads of pa. Most of the g37s in my area have r branded titles and are double the price so that's why I figured it wasn't a bad deal, considering it has the options and black interior which I want. For some reason it seems g35s are going for more locally?

For that price, I'd go for it.

And if you want, I'll have some Swift springs up for sale soon.

I like this idea personally. I lived in PA, and did a quick search in the area I came from and found quite a few G35 models in great condition. Search parameters were for the same price (<$7,000) and same mileage, 115,000. If you bump it up to $10,000 there are quite a few more choices. I'd go this route and avoid the rebuilt title. The car is still loose and things aren't lining up. Who knows what else isn't at 100%. I've purchased a vehicle with an accident on it's record and it was one of the worst financial mistakes I've ever made; and I would never again do it or recommend for someone else to do it.

I appreciate everyone's opinion however I've owned quite a few vehicles over the years and seen some get "totalled" from minior fedner Bender's I'm hoping this is the case. A couple years ago I bought a jeep from a dealer ( was 2 years old at the time ) everything was clean and carfax was spotless and a couple years later when I was doing some modssnd took front end apart you could tell it was in a accident and repaired ( very minior ) so not everything gets reported, I'm going to look at car again and make a decision.

Very impressed how it drives and the power is great! The only issue I have is why the fan keeps running.

Congrats on the pick-up; very excited for you and wish you much better luck than what I had.

Perhaps aftermarket fan or a lowered temp switch on? Could be a by-product of the accident if it had to be replaced and they went with something other than OEM
