New G37X owner!

Hello everyone! 3 days ago I just purchased a 2012 G37X Sedan MW with 61k miles on it! Beautiful car, and I'm also very excited it being my first car I bought myself (still 18)!

Coming from a 2006 VW Passat nightmare that was given to me, couldn't complain with that fact, but the car was full of problems and costed an arm and a leg to fix. I've done a lot of research before buying a vehicle, and this car seemed to fit all my needs: fast, awd, and reliable.

I do plan on modding it, going for the white and black stormtrooped look. Tints will be on shortly, along with blacking out and/or debadging some trim and emblems. After that I'll be saving up for some black rims and we'll go from there!

*sidenote, I am from Northwest Indiana, about a half hour from Chicago so I guess you can call it a suburb? Just wanted to throw that out there if anybody else is close!

Congrats on the car and the switch from VW. Once you go jap you don't go back.

Being young just be sure to respect the power.

Thank you! And yes that was the absolute first thing I learned with driving her home. I've also been around some fast cars in my life, most recently surviving a winter in my friends 98Z28 with sport tires, definite teaching moment!

After listening to his neighbor's Stingray come and go all the time, I bet you $10 what the OP's first significant mod will be.

With the 4 Corvettes, 2 Mustangs, and 1 Hellcat that live in my subdivision, you're spot on

That's a load of domestic muscle. As nice as your parents' neighborhood looks, I bet you there's a nicer one still down the road, filled with Lexus, Mercs and BMW.

Anyway, you're going to like the sound of the VQ engine when you can hear it. And I swear your musclecar neighbors are also going to like it, even if they're predisposed not to.

Not many people have modded cars in my subdivision there's a 350z a few houses down still bone stock. I guess I'll be that young gun with something other than a mid-life crisis summer car

Trust me, with the amount of riced out cars covered in plasti-dip in my old highschool parking lot, the only thing that will even see PD is my back emblem!! Anything else will be either wrapped or professionally painted, gotta do it right with these cars

Congrats! Change the rear sway bar & get a interior LED kit after your tints. Changes the feel of the car for a low price.

Alot of people swap X rear sway for a non X sway.. which is cheaper than buying hotckis or another brand. I personally put a 2014 370z rear sway on and love it. I bought a 20 bulb LED kit for $10 and havent had a problem yet.

So the oem 370z sway fit perfectly? What made you choose that one over the rwd sway?
