Is motordyne worth the $2,000?
First of all, I apologize in advance for making an exhaust thread, I know we've all seen enough of these on here lol. I'm really close to pulling the trigger on the motordyne. But my question is, is motordyne really worth the 2,000? Will exaust be THAT much louder and aggressive for the price ? And is it that much better than other exausts such as ARK or STILLEN Or should I use the money towards other upgrades. I have a 4 door sedan X. All I have r coilovers and rims and an intake on MTV car rn. Almost stock.

To my knowledge Motordyne doesn't make any exhaust system that fit our awd X models whether it be a coupe or sedan. With that being said I'm sure a good exhaust shop can custom fit it for you though. Imo worth every penny. The sound is so mean! You'll find hundreds of sound clip videos on YouTube.

The Motordyne Shockwave and the Ark Grip are similar in that they both utilize a Helmholtz resonator design, which is tres cool and gives just about the sexiest sound that could be made out of the VQ. The Mortordyne doesn't have mufflers at the end, whereas the Ark does. And the Mortordyne uses a large muffler-like resonator (or muffler?) at the front, instead of two fixed resonators like the Ark. Both have little flex sections up front, although you can see the Ark's flex sections are close to the cat flanges, whereas the Shockwave's are further down the y-pipe. And both have stupidly large exhaust tips.
And both are very expensive. That said, the Ark catback is less expensive.
For further comparison, my FI exhaust came to $2,275... and that was just parts, including resonated cats. Worth it? Hell yes, to me it was. Here's a rarely discussed observation about the FI: it has no flex sections. None. That's because the FI fitment is perfect, but it also implies that the FI exhaust has some material resonance that you might hear. (Just a guess about that.)
Anyway, here are some pics for comparison. Motordyne Shockwave first...
... and Ark Grip next:
...and the FI Exhaust last. Note that you can get this configured with 2.25" or 2.50" pipes, whereas both the Motordyne and Ark are 2.5" only. You can also forgo the in-line resonators on the FI, go with a 12" or 18" pair of resonators.

As it's been said a few times. If it's worth it is up to you.
I spent a good chunk on my exhaust. Would I do it again for a different car? In a heartbeat.
In my opinion, yes the performance gains aren't extremely high on an exhaust, but the smiles you get when you rip it make it all worth it.
My 2 cents.

I paid about ~$1300 after taxes for my Ark Grip Exhaust which was suited for my 2011 G37S Sedan. On top of that, I paid $410 shipped for a z1 Hfc to my door. That puts me at about $1710 and it costed me $75 to install my ark and $120 for my HFC (installed at different times). This puts me at $1905 for it all installed with my HFCs.
So is it worth it to me when you can get a whole exhaust setup except headers for the same price? To me? Nah. But the goal is to not satisfy me, but to make you happy. So if you want it, get it. Shiet.. I'm still jealous of any Gthaus owner even though I can almost do a full bolt on G for the cost of the whole exhaust.
Do what you like or want. You'll thank yourself later.

Beautiful, and high quality, and serious bragging rights. But kind of tinny sounding, IMO. At least... from what I've heard online over the years. In person maybe, it could be better than sex. And should be, for that price.
