Loud catback for a G37 Sedan

I am looking for a loud catback exhaust for around $1,000 for an 09 G37 Sedan. Anyone have any suggestions?

Where are you located, Tony? If your in SoCal, I have a custom exhaust I had built using a Tanabe axle back along with an Invidia X-Pipe, and Invidia resonated Mid-Pipe. It was too loud for my liking so I pulled it off the car after about a year, so it's just been sitting in my warehouse for the past couple of year waiting for a new home.

How's it going with the midpipe? I really want to hear how it sounds! 😁

I finally got the modified midpipe back, but it was right before I left for vacation so it isn't on the car yet. Hopefully I'll have it on in a week or so.

Stillen Cat-back

Had fun installing my Stillen Cat-back exhaust today. Very easy and straight forward. Fit and finish are as good as you could ever ask for in an aftermarket exhaust. I was a little concerned when I chose Stillen over the ARK and other options as I had heard it has a rather conservative exhaust tone. Well, I am pleasantly surprised with how nice it sounds, even without an intake upgrade. It's got a nice burble at idle and really sweet growl when you get on it. Looking forward to installing my R2C intake whenever it decides to show up on my doorstep.

1K2go how's the sound? I thought about Stillen but read reviews that it was really Droney if you have the 7AT auto transmission.

Why would 7AT make it drone more compared to 6MT? I have a 7AT and have not noticed drone at any RPM, but my perspective may be a bit skewed since I am used to driving a very loud sports car and motorcycle. By comparison, the G is very civil. YMMV.

Highway speeds, the 7AT gearing puts it in a lower RPM range that tends to drone. I have the stillen system with test pipes on my 6MT. It drones, but I have no problems with it any more.

Key word is 'with test pipes'. I'm sure that makes a huge difference, especially if you have an intake. My NSX without cats will spit huge flames and blow the sound barrier at every track in North America (that has sound restrictions). With cats, no problem.

A mostly custom catback I had done a couple months back on my sedan, megan y pipe to magnaflow resonated x pipe and 2.5" piping all the way back. I will hopefully be picking up some ART pipes in the next month or two.

If I remember correctly this pull was in 3rd gear to around 7000rpm
