Harbor Freight- $99!
Organization is the key to success...
The flange on the left rail of the jig is one of two that came from the Invidia x-pipe. I'm going to put them between the forward part of the x-pipe and the rear of the cut off Megan y-pipe. I want to make the system installable in two pieces.
Getting close. Two more cuts and I'm ready to weld!

Nice find on the welder. Gotta love Harbor freight for inexpensive tools that you won't use everyday.
Is that a hacksaw I see in the background? Don't tell me you've been cutting all of this pipe with a hacksaw?!?! Hopefully you picked up a pipe cutter while you were at Harbor Freight or are at least using a reciprocating saw with bimetal blade.
Great progress though... Really love how this is coming along!

Thanks for the feedback and encouragement, 2Go!
Hack saw was to finish cuts made with 4" angle grinder. I can't make square cuts with it. I'm going to look for a pipe cutter tonight. I will be making a beveled cut... will the pipe cutter you mention, do that?
I have a table saw, but the blade is probably expensive... oh! I've also been cutting with a reciprocal saw and bimetallic blades, but the stainless exhaust wears their teeth off...
So far, the pipe cuts are the weakest link... wait... last night, my first stab at wire welding. Whew... ugliness! I will send pics of that nastiness.
May use pipe clamps... as a last ditch
thanks again

I've put a metal cutting blade on my Rigid miter saw (for straight and beveled cuts) for cutting pipe in the past. This works well but I'm told it will eventually kill the saw (most likely bearing failure) with continued use as a pipe cutter. I used a 10" blade I got from these guys. They also make a 7-1/4" blade that could be used on a circular saw. 10" Stainless Steel Cutting Blade- Evolution Power Tools

Coming along nicely! Although it looks like you might run into some fitment issues where the flex sections connect to the crossover pipe. DO you plan to modify the bends right before the crossover pipe or are you hoping that there's enough flex in those flex sections to compensate for the different pipe spacing?
