Does anyone know what the correct size is?

So I measure my fog light lens and I get 3" ok easy right...well when I go online to order replacements I get 2.5" 3" 3.5" and 4"! Some sites don't even give a size. So my question is and maybe I am just over thinking it, but do I just order 3" or was my measurement off and it's one of the other options?

I'm measuring the outside lens and inside that is the lens housing that is what I will be replacing, so 2.5" to fit inside the 3" glass shell?

3" OD for sedans, 2.5" OD for coupes, theretrofitsource.com sells the best replacement lenses, crystal clear w/ a great cutoff w/ nice blue edging.
It's the STiR lens for sedans, TSXr for coupes.

I won't be buying replacements. I want to add a Halo ring / Angel eye inside the fog light (2011 Sedan). So I needed to know the mm size of halo to buy.

Sorry I misread your post, I thought you were talking about the lens for the main headlight projectors
