Whats up guys. I'm pretty new to this forum but I've been mainly lurking and reading up. But I had a quick question.

The other day, I was leaving my house and in order to go the direction I needed to proceed, I had to make a U-Turn. During the U-turn, I heard a sound as if a metal piece hit the bottom of my car then ground making a little "ding ding" noise. I stopped, reversed, and looked for the item that made the noise. This is the result:







Does this little metal piece belong to my Exhaust or car ? I'm not going to lie, ever since this happened, I FEEL as if I'm hearing more of these "ding ding" noises but not sure if I am overthinking it (on the freeway, street, etc). Or was this just a piece of metal on the ground that I ran over. And the other items I THOUGHT I heard were just my mind playing tricks.

Anyways, I'm about to order an Ark Grip CBE so if it belongs to my Exhaust, I can order it sooner. I do want to make sure my OEM is 100% functional though. Thank you guys!!

BTW: I Own a 2011 G37S Sedan 7AT

Not completely sure, but don't think so. Anything under the car usually has the black anti-rust coating.

From the look of the scratches and the damage to that piece it looks like it has been in the road for awhile. I wouldn't worry.

Haha for sure guys. Just wanted to make sure my exhaust won't fall off on the highway but I'm still going to purchase the ARK within the next few weeks. Will post pictures ! Thanks guys.
