Why does the AC always go on?

Just seems weird to me. If you hit auto and it's 25 degrees out and I have the temp set to 73 then why the hell does the system put the AC on?

Just because the AC is "on" doesn't mean the compressor is engaged. Climate control to a specific temperature uses both active management techniques.

Don't worry about it. It's normal.

The ac is to remove humidity in the air.

Without the ac on your windows will fog up.

Even if its 10 degrees out and you turn the ac to 85 degrees the ac will still come on.

Ac isn't just for cool air like most people think. ..

Just think of it as a dehumidifier, not an air conditioner
