Continental dws tires

I have a 2012 g37xs sedan. I live in ny and drive a good amount. I have read mix opinions on this cars awd system and tires to use. I really dont want to buy snow tires since I have brand new continental dws 06 tires on the factory wheels now. I have heard they are decent in the snow hence the dry, wet, snow but has anyone here used them in light and deep snow? Would they be enough for winter driving or are snow tires still recommend? Thanks for any help.

Well I had a 06 Altima SE-R dropped with the original DWS I live In NY,Queens and they worked wonders didn't have a issue at all. I now own a G35x and I'm expecting to get the same ones you have the dws06 for the winter. Tire rack said the dws06 are superior to the last ones made. How do yours measure in the rain? I getting them for 19's...

Where are you located? or better yet, how much snow do you think you will be driving through? I have had mine for two winters in north jersey and they have been great. They really do grip well on light snow and lightly plowed streets. The biggest limiting factor for me has been ground clearance, I end up plowing before i lose much traction. I think if I lived further north and had tougher winters I would go with a dedicated winter tire, but since its usually snow for only a few days and it doesn't linger much the DWS have served me well enough.
