Wood Trim Swap

I'm getting tired of my washi aluminum trim in my G. I want the luxurious wood trim. Has anyone e swapped there interior trim with the OEM wood trim? I have zero interest in an overlay as they are cheap looking IMO. Can anyone that switched tell me what it cost you for the OEM wood trim, where you bought it from and how hard was it to install.

You might try posting a WTT (Want to Trade) in the classifieds, there's been a couple that have swapped one for the other.

Good idea I will do that. Has anyone removed their trim and how difficult was it? Is it all clipped in or is there adhesive used too?

I'm considering swapping mine out at some point. Not certain if I would just buy new/used or trade though. I like the wood but I want CF.

If you get CF I'll buy your wood trim. Let me know.

You are a person of action!!!

Just saw your WTB post in the Marketplace. Good luck. I too like the wood but I'm not handy enough to attempt.

I removed all my trim to wrap it in brushed steel vinyl, removing the parts is pretty easy, just a bit nerve wracking as so many of those plastic panels seem like it would be real easy to break the pawls & clips, but alas, all were fine when done
Not nearly as hard or time consuming as you would think.

Sorry for my ignorance, but does "CF" means here regarding the trim?

If I do it I'll probably be looking to work out some sort of trade with you so I can get the carbon laid over the new trim. I should really send out the window switch panels before I finish the mirror mod...

But I'll definitely let you know if I do.
