What sport sedans did you consider?
What sport sedans did you consider? And why did you pick your vehicle?
I'm seriously considering a 2012-12 G37x at around $20k. I was previously contemplating the B8 Audi S4's but a similar mileage sample will cost will cost around $6K more.
I don't want a Corolla, Prius, or econobox. I don't want a rear drive vehicle as we can have 6 months of snow/ice and my wife might drive it more than I do. I want a reasonably quick and reliable daily driver, but at the same time I want something sporty enough that she can have fun autocrossing with.
She is not a fan of STI's or Evo's as she value luxury and comfort over raw performance.
I currently have a Titan Crew Cab 4x4 and a C6 Z06 with 540 WHP.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

AWD 3 series or C300. I was a hairs touch from getting a Benz C300-4matic white with sport and Nav. In the end I wanted a car I felt better at wrenching myself and did not want to be dealer dependent for anything. And above all else I am Nissan guy. My first being a Datsun B210 in High School.

BMW 335xi, Audi S4, and Acura TL. I bought used and wanted a sporty, reliable car with a little luxury (no Evo or STI). BMWs and Audis might be a little sportier and luxurious, but they have maintenance issues down the road and I wanted to avoid that. The TL is just as reliable as the G37, but not as sporty. Overall the G37 was the best combination of luxury, sport, and reliability.

Plus 1 on the resonate. :
Also looked at the smaller Jag. After looking at maintenance costs for those (Acura excepted), I started considering the light rail.

I was between the G and the 335, and as was said above, maintenance nightmares abound - so I stuck with the G, and love every second of it. No pesky Bimmer turbos - or anything else - to deal with.

In what world is an MB C300 a sport sedan.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and BMW 335i. If BMW made a 4 door 1 series with a 4 banger turbo, I would buy that in a heartbeat. If Mitsubishi had a manual 6 speed, I would have bought that. I didn't like the idea of long trips in the Mitsu without a taller gear.

I appreciate the input guys.
My wife is not a fan of the VW Golf looks. I don't think I'll be finding a Focus RS for $20k anytime soon.
Maintenance costs will probably sway me away from the Euro sedans. The 335i looks a bit more cramped int he back seat as well.
Haven't looked into the Acura TL's at all. Maybe I'll take a gander at it.

I was looking at a pre-owned 2011 328i xDrive with 6-speed manual.
I was turned off by the lack of an engine oil dipstick, lack of a spare tire, and the notorious electric water pump.
I'm glad I settled on the '13 G37xS. I miss the manual transmission, but the 7-speed auto isn't bad.
