Side mirror adjustment angle for blind spot removal

I just got a 2010 G37x and the mirrors can't adjust like I am used to. The mirrors will not move outward enough to remove the blind spot. How many of you have the same problem?

In a sedan? Not at all. Granted my seat sits all the way back but none the less, never noticed a blind spot.

I have my mirrors set as indicated in the C&D article. No problems with blind-spots.

Yeah, sedan. In a past life I made mirrors for Nissans and know that you can push on the edges and make the gears skip teeth without harm (to some extent) and I do this but can't make the mirrors move far enough out! GrrRRR!
So basically you can see a car behind you go from the inside mirror into the outside mirror with even a gap between?

Stick on some 2" blind spot mirrors. You'll see your blind spot and behind you.

I have these on all of my cars. Mirrors adjusted out far to see well into the lanes beside my and get rid of my blind spots, then the convex blind spot mirrors allow me to see parking lines and things up close to my car.

I have this Autobahn mirror since 2008. Now I like it so much so I installed it in my 2015 Q40 sedan.

Thanks all, the point is that after adjusting the mirrors correctly one does not need an aux mirror. I have searched for the mirror back removal "process" and do not see one written here. Help with that is greatly appreciated!

The driver side is my blind spot while merging on the highway. I hate to turn my head on my left shoulder.... The mirrors need to be directed to both left and right lane and not be able to see the side of your car and should overlap a bit on the rearview mirror. The problem with G37/Q40 is the side view mirror is way too small vs my EX35 crossover.

The Autobahn mirror gives me more dedicated rearview mirror directed more on the passenger side blindspot since the driver side is covered by my autobahn.
