Might get a G37 sedan next

Spinnin over 201k on my 2004 G35 low oil edition so here is my preliminary research for the next car...I want a Q50 but might not want to give up the 6speed, so looks like I will be getting a G37 sedan

I think the G37 door handles ruin the car, has anyone done a mod to make them flush like the G35 sedans? Seems like a lot of work to do but those door handles are sooo gaudyyyy

Can you guys give some info on what G37 sedan front and rear bumpers would look similar to the Q50?

Do you think I will ever find a Black on Black 6 speed g37 sedan for sale??????

6sp 4 doors are hard to find. You might have to widen your search to find what you want in color / tranny. With that said, it's not impossible but it make take a little bit to find one.

I've yet to see anyone with a q50 bumper on a g37. Totally different components and fascias. Same thing goes with the door handles. If you hate them so much, a good body shop with body filler and power actuators will take care of your handle problem, for a nominal fee.

The Q50 swap is not worth it, You'd have to swap the WHOLE front , All the body parts are different. For a blk on blk 6 spd sedan good luck, It's hard enough to find a 6spd sedan forget about a certain color. I hope your will to drive to it or have it shipped. :/

Welcome and GL in you search

I don't mean actual q50 bumpers, just ones that look similar. I like the g37 and the q50, just wish the g37 didn't look as much as a bubble butt

Too bad Infiniti discontinued the 6speed

That's a whole lot of question marks.

The short answer is "yes". However, you have to either travel to buy the car, or have it shipped to your door. The odds of finding a 6MT Sedan locally are firmly at zero... unless you live outside a major population center, and then maybe just one or two. And forget about restricting your search to a particular color scheme, or you'll be trolling AutoTrader for 6 months waiting for something that might not happen.

Hard to find indeed! Around chicago there is only one, in black. Nationwide, according to autotrader, there's 65 of them. Of those, only 23 are 2013.

Actually, I bet that number is even less because often times cars are listed improperly, with the paddle shifters considered as a manual by some salesidiots.

Back in late 2011, I started looking for a 2009+ 6MT Sedan, when at any point in time there were only 3 to 5 available nationwide (used). It was kind of depressing. Ended up digging deeper into my pocket, and buying a car that wasn't even a year old yet with virtually no miles on it.

This is absolutely true. G's are often misrepresented with a "manual" transmission because of the +/- feature in Drive... which is dumb, because every car made today, that isn't a CVT, has that feature. And even some with a CVT, which is even more dumb. (Hello Maxima.)

yes, you'll find your Blk/Blk 6MT sedan. look on cars.com, and be willing to travel like others have said. and make sure you view photos of the actual car to confirm it's a stick.

i gave up my search in Canada after 6 months. a short time later i eventually found it 5000kms away in MD. from a myg37 forum member. had it shipped out to me. it's been great to me after 4.5 years.

Yeah I would ditch the 'must have X exterior color'. It took me 5 or 6 months to find my sedan with 6MT and black interior back in 2009 and, as some may know, I remedied the exterior color by having the entire car painted.

Lets hope these cars keep their values higher in the coming years since no 6mt sedan past 2013.

That's a great point. The G's FS subforum can be pricey, compared to traditional sources, and people here tend to over-value their car because of the emotional attachment. But there's something to be said for a car that's probably loved and pampered here on the forum... even if it's also driven hard.

Meh. Don't care. If you drive your car until it's worth more to you than the resale value, then you win the game, IMO.

Look under carmax and whenever you see one at the right price, add +/- ~$1000 for shipping. You have a 30 day return too? Or a week I forgot

You have 5 days. 30 day warranty on anything on the car. And, their extended warranties to 150k miles are very cheap for the G.
