Dyno tuning results

So I just got back from getting my car tuned and I'm very pleased with the reults. I already had all my parts installed prior to my base dyno and I put down 290HP & 272lbs/TQ. After the tuner went through a number of runs fine tuning the numbers I ended up with 317HP & 301lbs/TQ. That's a bump of 27hp and 29lbs/TQ!

Want to give a big shout out to Frank Smith tuning in Crofton, MD. Super nice shop and great guys to deal with. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking for tuning, parts or advice. Tuning done on a AWD Dynocom dyno.

Congrats on the bump!!! Those are great results.

I'm looking towards an Uprev tune once I get a cat-back and LT CAI installed.

Enjoy,
Sean

317whp with only cai, high flow cats & ported intake manifold.

Numbers seem pretty inflated. That dyno must read higher than most.

Not to burst your bubble but those are very high readings especially torque. The bump from your baseline is a huge increase though and you should be excited about that. Time to take it to the track.

Never about the raw numbers. It's about the before/after gains.

Just go to the track and run the 1/4 times and trap speed will tell you what you have for numbers. Those numbers are

My Supercharger WTRQ was 330

The gains are at least inline for the mods. AF seems good at 12.9.

Has the Z1 HFC rasp toned down a bit since you first got it? Solid numbers on the dyno

Seems a little optimistic to me as well, I've been to Frank Smith and he was able to do 20hp 20 torque gains on my car but he had to use higher octane gas and this is with 10 performance mods, this is on my previous G35. Haven't taken G37 to him as it's already tuned.

He didn't add any gas, actually I got the riot act for using Costco gas it was rediculously hot / humid last night so I was surprised to see the results but the numbers are what they are. Like ANMVQ said, time to take it to the track. Those are the only numbers that matter.

Very happy with the results, I've been waiting all day long to park my work truck and take the G for another ride. Frank also bumped my rev limiter 300 more RPM and the shifting seems to be tighter, especially in manual mode.

No the rasp is still pretty hateful but I've learned to live with it. I think it's probably a universal problem youre going to have with all HFC's

So went to the track tonight with depressing results.

I went to the track a number of months ago (granted it was cooler outside) but I was only able to beat my last time (13.677) by a very marginal amount (13.635). I ran 4 times and I only beat my last time once when I didn't have the car tuned. Not impressed....

Anyone have any clue what the problem could be?

It's pretty hot right now, in the midst of summer .

Well regardless of the numbers being inflated or not. Congrats on getting a great tune!

How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?
