New member needs advice on which wheels to keep.
This is my first post, wanted to take the time and introduce myself to the forum and ask for advise on which wheels to keep and which ones to sell so please VOTE. Please make sure to vote in the actual poll though located on top in addition to just posting your opinion; this will make it easier to count votes. Thanks for you opinions everybody, I really appreciate the help since I'm lost and like both wheel styles equally. Your choices are:
1. Rare 06-07 M45S/M35S Sport Package double 5 spoke 19” X 8.5”- 50 offset /w 245 tires all around
2. Newer G37 coupe black chrome 19” X 8.5” - 45 offset front and 19” X 9” - 43 back, 245/275 tires
Recently bought a 2012 G37 Premium Sedan and have already been bitten by the mod bug, have to say it feels good to be back to a rear wheel drive platform. In my younger years I used to own Sport bikes, Harleys, Trans Am's and a couple of Mustangs including a heavy modified Cobra so this is not my first Rodeo. I have already debaged, changed all the lights to led's including the high output fog lights, did a bunch of maintenance, etc. Now come the wheels and the LSD differential from a 2013 auto coupe w/ 16k miles; want to make the car handle better on power in turns for some occasional sideways action. I know the car needs a drop with some Swifts but I really don't want to change the way it handles and want to keep the ride quality intact; I think it's perfect as is and don't want to make the ride any harsher which is the major reason I went with the non-sport model. Does anyone know if these newer style coupe 19's are forged rays like the older style 19's? curious if they weigh any more.

The 2013 Coupe rims look more classy, although I've always though the twisted spokes was a bit too busy; I much prefer the cleaner, older Sport Coupe 10-spokes.
Those split 5-spokes look very aggressive on your car, with a more simple and unique look. They also look easier to clean and wax.
I vote for the the split 5-spokes. It's a design that will catch your eye from way across the parking lot. Very unique on that car. Even if the finish looks kind of dull.

I'm actually surprised the double 5 spoke design is winning as of now. Asked 4 of my family and friends and everybody picked the coupe black chrome wheels, the exact opposite of this forum. The black chrome does look a little better in person, they actually look really dark with extreme shine on the parts where the light hits them just right giving a sword of contrast effect so maybe that's why.
The M double 5 spoke wheels actually stick out 5mm more than the oem 17" wheels even though they have a higher offset, they are an inch wider plus I can easily put a cheap Ebay 5mm hub centric spacer. Without lowering the wheels look just fine, maybe even better a little more tucked in. If I lowered than yes I would definetlly get some bigger spacers. As is they don't rub at all and clear everything just fine even without the small 5mm spacers, I was afraid they would per reading some older post here that said they would.
Thanks again and please keep the votes coming.

Black chrome does set the coupe 19s apart from the common variety. I think it comes down to what kind of overall look you're after, or what future mods you have planned.
If you tend to keep the sedan closer to stock the M wheels FTW, if you plan to lower it, add a spoiler & a front lip, etc then the coupe 19s would start to look more like the choice.
Thinking long term might make the choice easier (or harder, lol).

Well, I decided to keep the coupe black chrome wheels. I do want to exchange my rear 9" wide wheels for the same 8.5 that I have in the front so if any one is interested, please let me know maybe we can come up with some kind of arrangement. The rears have 275 Toyo T1 proxes, an ultra high performance summer tire with G37 tpms sensors mounted and balanced. The tires have maybe 2000 miles on them and there is over 90% tread left.
The rare 06-07 M45S/M35S Sport Package double 5 spoke 19” X 8.5” wheels are going up for sale. They do have curb rash on them. They also have pretty much new 245 fierce instinct zr tires all around which is a goodyear high performance brand. They are actually very good tires imo, as good as the toyo prxes. Also g37 tpms sensors mounted and balanced. I should probably post this in the classifieds. Not sure what to ask for this combo, the tires alone were $200 a piece.

I’d go with the M sport wheels…I'm biased since I previously had an 06 M35 and re-done/powdercoated the wheels to an Anthracite Matte - semi gloss color w/black powder coated lug nuts and black emblem, and paired them with 15MM H&R spacers all around — Loved the look with the Diamond Graphite car color. If you decide to sell the rims, shoot me a PM — I’d be interested if the price is right. I have a set of 19” tires already so rims only for me…I'll probably get the same color combo I previously had to go with my Moonlight White AWD sedan...
Here’s some pix of the old M….

I will have to sell the M wheels as a set with the tires and tpms sensors that are inside.
