Matte Graphite Window Trim??? Need Opinions

So i want to wrap the ugly chrome exterior window trim but im not sure if i want to do black. My X sedan is OB and i've seen various people wrap it black and it looks good but i had a different idea.

I currently have Matte Graphite Vossen CV5's and i was wondering if anyone has ever wrapped the trim a matte dark gray to match the wheel color? I plan on doing along the windows and grill.

Just a random idea i had so i was curious if anyone has ever done it or what your opinions are. Feel free to give honest opinions even if it is completely bashing me lol. Just torn between doing this or just wrapping it black like everyone else.

Also i have 5% tint all around if that helps.

If anyone has seen this pics would be great!

IMO it would look nice, might want to get a few samples as the subtle color/texture variations could make a difference. The 99cent samples toward the bottom is what I'd recommend, should be able to find one that matches real well that way. Look forward to seeing the results!

It might look out of place but maybe try one panel like blnewt said and go from there.

Oh yeah, monster truck wheel gap needs to go.

Good idea, never thought of that. My original plan was 3m matte dark gray, might grab a gloss as well and see. Thanks for the input!

I'd get about 6 samples, like 3 from one brand and 3 from another and see how close you can get to matching your wheels, pretty amazing what the actual vinyl looks like compared to the screen shots.
BTW, what coils are you going to run?

I went with Fortune 500s this time. I previously had BC on my X Coupe and they were nice but ive seen good reviews on the Fortune Auto so i decided to give them a shot.

Samples Ordered!

Thanks for the advice! I ended up going with 6 different ones, 2 from Arlon, 2 from 3m, and 2 from Hexis. So hopefully the lucky winner will be here sometime next week!

Make sure they match the wheels or it'll look off.... I have OB and went with matte black... and that looks super grey at some angles and lighting. Samples were the way to go!

Any chance you found a satin gray? I ordered a bunch but could only find gloss, matte, and matte metallic

I hadn't considered that though I murdered my sedan originally and am backing off it a bit now. I think it would be interesting. Doesn't look bad chrome, stands to reason it might be sharp in a toned down grey especially if you can tie it into the wheels.

With the Fortunes, did you get the longer springs? I can't adjust up any further, I like the stance but the Memphis roads are not lowered friendly and I need a new undershroud already.
