Moonroof Wind Deflector...Yes or No?

I'm thinking about ordering a moonroof wind deflector for my 12 G37xS sedan. I have searched and found that the the one for the 2010-2012 altima coupe will fit our cars. I called the nissan dealer and it's price at $80 total.

It will reduce wind noise. What do you guys think? Will it look right?

Yep. That and side-window visors.

However, it's your car. If someone nameless on the internet doesn't like it... whoodidoo.

I personally never use my moonroof. Could care less whether the car had it or not. But the rare times when I do play with it open, it's really annoying over 35 mph and has to close.

Had one on our 07 G35, the current owner still has it, This was a more universal model that a guy gave me off a Toyota Camry. It wasn't as obvious as the pic above. Actually made a nice difference in wind noise. Like Rochester mentioned, I pretty much forget about opening the moonroof, think we've opened the one in our 09 maybe 4 times, lol.
It didn't really look out of place IMO and if you regularly drive around w/ it open then I'd consider it.

I keep mine open a lot weather permitting. It gets a little noisy I'll grant you but the radio up solves that. Personally I would rather deal with the noise, I'm not a fan of the deflectors.

But, you may not like what I've done to my car so you mod for you my dude!

I got a coupon for 30% off accessories products, so I'm putting an order for one.

It will be $55 for the wind deflector, pretty cheap.

Well, there's your answer then.

Be sure to swing back with good quality pics on the deflector. Be interesting seeing it on another MW Sedan... even if I am predisposed to think not so good things about it.

I had one of wife's G for a couple years. It left a difference in paint where it was that couldn't be corrected. I wouldn't do it again.

Got done installing the wind deflector today. It doesn't look to bad. Took the car for a drive up to 60 mph and it made a big difference in noise reduction.

I just keep mine open in the vent position with a rear window cracked. Provides real nice airflow without too much noise (even on the highway).

Actually not as bad as I was expecting. Honest. However, much larger than I was thinking, too. Strange.

Maybe if you back up the perspective to the whole car, from a few different angles. And maybe if you used an actual camera.

How does that attach to the car? Is it screwed in place or double sided adhesive?

Installed with 3 brackets and screws. It's secure tight. Don't trust the tape.
