non nav, bose 2013 install issues.
hi to all,
i am brand new here to the forums. with that said i have been looking for three days trying to figure out what is wrong with my set up.
I am installing an amp subs and line out converter to my 2013 g37 sedan which does not have nav. i have seen the b41 and b43 pins 8 and 9 also 23-26 threads but i am still not getting any speaker noise. the remote is fine the ground is fine and power is too. all confirmed with multimeter.
when i had read originally i had to use pins 23-26 on b43 i thought i had to use the 23 pin and the 26 pin, when hooked up i noticed a dulled speaker output to other speakers, after rereading this 500 million times i notice that, it said 23-26 to use the back two lt -+ and rt -+, so now i have the 25 and 26 pin connected but still noise the dullness went away,,. my amp is on and not all the way down also the converter is half way up as well.. i am trying to figure this out. and i have what i feel exhausted all other means to finding through this or other nico sites. thank you and good night, please help me...

So you have no navigation, but you do have bose? In this case, since you have bose you do not need the LOC, as tapping into pins 23/24(rear left - and rear left +) and 25/26(rear right - and rear right +) will give you a pretty clean low level signal that can go right to your amp. Be advised that these wires are on the b41 harness and not the b43 harness as you have written. Try it without the LOC and see if you have better results.

my amp, came with a rca with four wires, red and bk , wht and blk. could i just use the one 23 and 24, connect the two red and white to pos and the black to neg.. then hook it up that way. no LOC. as mentioned. ill try it. thank you.

it seems my taps i put on the wires weren't the whole way through a little wiggle and wala, also my remote tap a fuse was for some reason not getting any volts past the crimp, further inspection revealed the fuse not being in the whole way, i tapped into the 10amp (IGN) on top. works great, the LOC was messing with noise, deleted and it works great. went through two thinking that they were bad... haha i have my receipt around here some where.. I am glad that this forum is here and easy to use again thank you,

Great news. Glad to help, and I'm happy to see that you're up & running. Yeah those taps can be problematic as well. When I did mine, I spent the whole day wiring everything up, went to turn it on and got nothing. Was so tired and frustrated. Turned out the blue taps were not biting deep enough into the wire, so I tried a different set of taps (I think they were red, for higher gauge wire), and I had the same problem! I think I might have just had a cheap set of taps. I got so annoyed by that time I ripped the taps out and ended up splicing & soldering my wires instead

So bad news, I drove to work this am my dash lights were off and gages. Did not work and battery died half way there... I get out and pull the fuse out of the power line, and remove the add a fuse replace the original fuse and it started up with hesitation.. Left it undone.. But will make that happen...

This sounds like either a battery or alternator issue. How old is your battery? I'm not familiar with the fuse tap method for the remote wire, I used the b41 harness for remote power on as well. which fuse did you tap into for remote power? Did the car run fine after it started up with everything disconnected? I would have the battery tested first and go from there.

ill try to tap into the b41 harness tonight, i think that it was messing with the computer, I didnt gain one mile when the lights and dash didnt work, and i feel like that is the issue, after a couple mins the car started right up like no issue at all.
thank you

Ok, give it a shot with b41 pin #20 as the remote turn on. That's the one I used and had no issues. There have been a couple reports of people with Kicker amps having trouble with that, I believe there wasn't enough power coming from #20 to turn on the amp. In that case, they had to use the add-a-fuse method. #20 worked fine for my JL amp and then my ms8, so give it a try and see if you have better results than you did with the fuse tap.
