iphone6 won't pair

New here, in fact first post.
My son has a 2011 and just got the iPhone6. It will not pair with the system. His iPhone5 would with no problem. Is there a software update for this? He also uses Verizon. Anyone able to pair with a different provider?
Thanks

Is the unit a Nav or non-Nav unit?

Is the phone the same name as the old one? I had issues with that.

Also, the system only holds 5 devices so it would be good to check how many devices are paired with the radio.

Delete all stored devices on the system and then attempt to reconnect. Also delete the profile on the iPhone 6 (if there is one stored.

The iPhone 6 software update released by Apple around 20 Aug 2015 solved my "iPhone 6 won't pair" problem. I have a 2009 sport coupe with navigation pkg. It worked fine with my iPhone 4, but wouldn't pair with the iPhone 6 until this week. Used the normal pairing procedure per the manual. It worked quickly (did it during a red light.)

I had an iphone 5 paired to my 2010 g37x with navi. I got an iphone 6plus last week and it paired up perfectly, is the bluetooth not picking up the iphone 6 at all?

did you go to your music setting and activate bluetooth streaming? You have to Pair the phone for bluetooth calling and then activate the music streaming option.

I cannot recall the exact steps, just have to look around the music options or bluetooth option. Its there just hard to recall when you're not in the car.

its in the bluetooth menu. Very bottom left box ( i think it's audio?), theres 2 options, select the audio device and a list will cone up with your phone if it's already paired. Select and add.

I'm just doing it from memory so it's kinda vague
