Midnight grill VS Painting grill

Fuzzy pic, but still... beautiful looking grille.
I've only recently seen pics of mine and other moonlight white grilles done up like that, so it's great to see it done in other colors. A few years ago, I remember seeing a darker-colored sedan with the same technique, but can't seem to find it any more.
I'm guessing you're very happy with this look.

It definitely looks good. I'm starting to think that black chrome may be too much like chrome and not enough dark black in there. I love Rochesters grill...but I wanna be unique. What if I went with gloss black on the middle slats and the went with a black chrome on the top n bottom slats? Then I could match my gloss black vinyl wrap that I'm going to be using to create the negative space in the center of the IPL bumper. Also I could have the Fugi symbols done in black chrome to keep the theme going and give the car more reference points for pulling off the BC look. What do you guys think?
Help me perfect this idea guys. Or shoot it down either way. I'm just spitballing here

Redfire, if you do paint the slats, don't forget to paint the sides of the emblem the same, and center/inside of the emblem, too. Otherwise it will look silly.
You know, you keep writing Fugi over and over. Have you noticed?

No, man. It's your spelling that's driving me nuts. Can't ignore it any more, and I have to stop you with whatever means necessary. (jk)

The Infiniti logo expresses the concept of the open road traveling toward infinity. It also pays homage to Mount Fuji, Japan's most famous peak.

Lmao there goes that attention to detail that I love so much. Sorry John (and anyone else) I really think what happened here is the first time I read a post that mentioned the infiniti symbol as the "Fuji" it was accidentally misspelled. If memory serves I first got it from Brad so I know it wasn't on purpose.
I will correct all future posts. Thanks for the lesson/correction! Damn I bet that's been bothering you for a while...a few weeks min. My bad

Tried wrapping my grill tonight, and I screwed it up royally(not the grill, the wrap job). I may buy another 5'x1' roll and try again, not sure yet. Or I might just take it to the body shop that quoted me $100 to paint it. Either way I don't think I can stand to look at the car with the chrome grill ever again, after seeing it black up close.

4 days! Wow that's attention to detail. It looks great. Mine maybe took 45 minutes which included cleaning, masking, painting, and removing mask prior to dip drying.
