2009 G37X Lift
Has anyone lifted their G? Id like to raise the body and suspension a few inches and put some Michelin LTX 's on it. Wondering if it has been done..

This one's lifted, but not to put some tall sidewall tires one it, for low-pro tires on huge rims.
You may be able to photoshop some larger sidewalls on there to get an idea of the look. It's a coupe though...

Well, I only wanted to raise it 3 inches- Keep stock rims and use a larger profile tire. Im looking for a bit more clearance and practicality. This thing should munch the carpet off a Subaru or maybe I should just buy a subaru.

Well to answer your question it can be done with some coilovers. I just raised my car for the winter and maxed out the front and rear on my coilovers and the front raised up about half inch higher than stock. But I think if you wanna go 3 inches then you should just get a SUV, and that's probably the easiest and nicest way I can put it without putting pictures of donked infinitis. I have an 04 ML 350 and have some offroad tires on it to drive in deep snow and it works wonders and there are tons of them for sale. My truck is only worth 6K after 10 years and 2 accidents.

Please, sell the car and buy a subaru... or a cutlass.
This car does not have the AWD system to compete with a rally class car no matter how high you jack it up or what wrong size tires you put on it. Any way you slice it, it's a rear wheel drive biased luxury sports car, not a rally car, or tonka truck.

Practical? Practical for what kind of driving? As long as you don't install a front lip you should be just fine in terms of clearance. Your 09 has a bit more ground clearance than newer models do.
I used to take my 05 G35X (same ground clearance as your 09) with dedicated snow tires down the most absurd roads in the winter and the thing absolutely amazed me.
If stock height with no lip isn't enough clearance for you, maybe the G ain't right for you. Or as someone else stated, get some adjustable height coils, and you can have the best of both setups.

Donking it out of the question. Candidly, those pictures look ridiculous. Im a practical guy, that's why I bought the G37X. It was the most economical AWD with a decent motor on the market. While it might be perceived as a "luxury" car it really isn't.
The car now has 95K on the odometer and isn't worth much, so I thought, what the hell. Lets raise it a couple of inches and throw some larger tires and then I'll get better clearance and won't have to drop so low when entering and exiting.
