Unhappy 2012 G37s running extremely sluggish!?

So after busting my a** all summer long I was finally able to get the car of my dreams! Anyways the reason behind my post is that my car is running sluggish as if all the power has been sucked out of my car. I have noticed in the morning the car runs perfect extremely responsive and I feel it pull nicely(annoying transmission but used to it). I do about 30 miles on the freeway but as soon as i get off the highway it feel as if the car is stuck on a higher gear. The car feels heavy and I have to press the pedal fully to get some response. I reset my ecu the other day for the same reason and it took care of the problem what a relief! but now the problem has returned -_-. Thankfully the car is under warranty for another 2 years and have an appointment this upcoming week to reprogram the ecu and maybe update the transmission! Has anyone gone through this? or is this all in my head? I want to start the modding but not until this issue has been resolved. Someone please tell me you have gone through this!

What is your mileage? Clean your throttle bodies, seafoam your gas tank and vacuum system. If you are at 30k miles, have your transmission flushed at a Nissan dealer (cheaper...same process as 370z). Also change your rear differential fluid if at 30k. Put in some AFE air filters and run some top tier fuel for a couple tanks (you are using 93 octane right?). I had minimal transmission lag and just made and installed a grounding kit and it helped shift smoothness and decreased the time to shift.

Im at 19,000 miles. I use the best gas possible(premium) and yea for sure im going to ask the dealership to check the throttle body and maybe throw on some K&N air filters. By the way when they say reprogram are they going to reset the ecu or actually "reprogram". I can reset it myself -_-

Mine is running a bit sluggish too. But that may be in my head bc it's quiet. I have never had a car without an aftermarket exhaust. Haha.

I'm gonna do some TB cleaning, seafoam or some additive. Infiniti Just replaced my transmission - 49k miles.

Honestly, it felt the same, just less noisy. I took it in for a clanking (which turned out to be the rear drive axle TSB), and they said they heard a grinding in second gear. Ordered me a transmission and handed me a loaner.

I haven't had it long enough to decide if it is sluggish. In the past year I'm coming from a fully motordyned and tuned G35 coupe, CTS-v, then a cammed Trailblazer SS. So...Maybe the G just isnt as peppy (yet) as the other three vehicles I drove daily.

I drove a 2012 7AT for about a week as a loaner. It actually seemed to have a bit more power than my 6mt. But, it's a completely different feel. The power/driving experience really can't be compared as you are focused a lot more on different things driving a manual.

Let me know how it goes.

Im starting to think that this is a brake problem. Is it possible that one of my brakes could be engaged? The car feels as if im driving with my emergency brake on. Today I struggled to get to 60 on the freeway and as i let go of the pedal it feels like its braking or pulling back(if that makes any sense). The car feels so heavy! Im going today to the dealership I cant deal with this.

Infiniti brakes are extremely sensitive and all of this week I have had to push the brake pedal more than halfway down just to get the car to slow down.

Very possible that you have a seized caliper. I just replaced my GF's brakes on her jeep (obviously a different vehicle, but same concept).

If your brake fluid is old or contaminated you could have a sticking caliper. Sometimes in extreme weather your rubber lines can start breaking apart and get clogged which also causes a seize.

Best (free) way to test it...Jack up the front of the car, see if the wheels spin freely.

Rear - Put it in neutral (MAKE SURE YOUR FRONT WHEELS ARE CHOCKED), jack up the rear of the car and see if the rears spin freely.
