Thing we dont see under the car
While I was getting my rear camber replace, I decided to inspect under the car and boy I was in for a surprise when I saw a lot of rust, so when I went to the stealership a couple month ago to have them do a maintenance as the service millage grid shows around 120 they had to inspect the exhaust system and best to my knowledge they never told me it was that bad??
Anyhow is it possible to replace that heat shield or should I just replace the exhaust?
tks in advance

I guess so, I will be shopping for a new one soon, right after this Canadian winter come and goes but if we keep getting 20-30 centimeter of snow it may get damage before that lol

I only wish I was in the state too, lol
It already started to rattle lol, the mechanic adjusted everything but I will ask to remove everything too, tks
Yes very and lots of snow, but I think the car was bought and driven mostly in Toronto before I purchase it in Ottawa.
its a 2009, I'm mostly **** off at the dealer for not warning me about it when I brought it for maintenance lol.
Yes I will start looking for a new one after this winter lol, any one can recommend any good one

Yes Toronto.. extreme corrosion environment. I work for a company that supplies equipment to Canada. We have to make special products just for Toronto. 1 Year aluminum turns to white dust and steel doesn't even last that long. Stainless all the way in Canada.

Stainless will only last a bit longer but eventually will rust too

Yep the overuse of salt in Ontario -___-
My friend has a 07 G35S. And I had to help rip off the shields off it. was ratting like crazy while idling.
When I went to shop to install HFC on my 10', all bolts just broke off or had to be torched due to corrosion.

Not sure what it's like today, but in the late 70's Rochester was similar. Cars had corroded (unattached) panels around the entire lower perimeter. Looked like seagulls flapping their wings.

Yikes! Glad my car is garaged & doesn't see snow at all (keep summer tires on year round)
Don't get me wrong FLA is great for the weather but not an abundance of compelling reasons to live down there otherwise
