2011 g37 Air conditioner not transitioning
Hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I am very new to the site.
I have a 2011 G37 and I am having A/C troubles with it. When I set the temp anywhere between 60 and 84 degrees the air blows out at 49 degrees (this is the temperature that it is supposed to correspond with setting it to 60 degrees). Once I turn it anywhere between 85 and 90 degrees it it jumps from blowing 49 degree air to very hot air.
In short, there is no transition between freezing cold and very hot (e.g. if i set it to 70, 75, 80, or 84 it still blows the same temp as it does set to 60 degrees)
I have had it in the shop and they have replaced the AC amplifier and the in cabin sensor under the dash and neither have fixed it! Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

My 08 and 09 are both similar. Up to 80 it blows arctic air that freezes you out in a short time on even the hottest days. 81-83 or so are kind of moderate. 84+ is a sauna.
I've had better luck setting it to auto than adjusting the temp and fan separately. It's easier to get a comfortable temperature. But that still doesn't address the actual problem. sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Has the dealer been able to reproduce this problem? Seems like an easy problem to reproduce without sending the car back in the same condition.

Hey guys I finally found out why my car is doing that. I live in florida and its about 90 degrees during day which means the inside of the car is probably over 100 degrees. If I set the ac to say 74 the air conditioning system of the car will blow out freezing cold air until the inside of the car comes to the requested temperature. When the inside temperaure reaches what I set it to, the air blowing out of the vents will begin to get warmer.
This is the case when I set the temperature anywhere from 60-85. At 85 or above the car blows out hot air no matter what the inside of the car is.
Hope that helps and makes since.

Roll all the windows down with the AC off for two or three minutes to blow out the overheated air inside the car as you begin driving.
Turn AC on and when it begins blowing cold air roll up the windows.
Within five minutes the air inside the car will become comfortable.
BTW it is frequently hotter here in NJ during the summer than in Florida
