One really buys an exhaust to improve the note, any added hp (if any) is a plus but should not be your reason for a catback purchase. Hell, you should be celebrating you didn't lose any TQ in the low rpm range haha

Zack, did you get a tune by chance with the FI catback? That could push you over that 300WHP mark.

Very true but it would be nice to have the "extra" power in the lower rpm's just because that's what we use everyday. I just find it nuts though that us G owners usually have to spend over a thousand bucks (in this case around $1500) to get the sound we want from a stinking catback. Gotta love this platform.

But how does it sound compared to our "expensive" catbacks?

Agreed! Never heard any a/m exhausts or muffler delete in person, but from videos the muffler delete sounds best.

Very close to doing it myself, even found the tips I'd want installed on the new pipes: Exhaust Muffler Tip Oval Forward Slash Cut Double Wall Inter-cooled Rolled Edge Resonated 2" Inlet / ID, 4.75X3.25"Outlet / OD #RTP-005

(Sorry for off-topic OP)

As Sam said above when I bought this exhaust it was for the look and the sound. I knew from what I read when I started making modifications last year that without proper tuning I wouldn't see many gains if any at all which is why I haven't bother with an intake.

That being said I love the look and sound of this exhaust and I get compliments on it all the time.

Overall I am very happy with the results since the motor still seems consistent and strong. The dyno operator told me there is more power to be had based on potential A/F changes as well as potential timing adjustments that can be made using uprev. I plan on doing some K&N drop in filters and going back in a few months but for now since the car is under Warranty for another year I am staying away from the engine and ECU.

Here is comparison between my best stock run and a run with the CBE and removing the stock oem filters from the air boxes. As you can see the car picked up some power which is why i think drop in K&N's wouldn't be a bad idea

Except with all that drone, it will eventually get annoying. Especially if it's your daily driver. It's even worse for the rear seat passengers.
