What type of shops can install tips?

I'm thinking of getting ark universal burnt tips. Can anybody tell me what type of shop to go to get it installed and will these have to be welded on?

I don't see any clamps in the pictures so welding maybe needed. You can take it to any muffler shop and they can weld them for you ~$50. I would go for the medium or large 4.5'' tips

But won't they stick out too much?

What size is the piping leading into the muffler?

Considering a muffler delete with some upgraded finishers, wondering what the "inlet" size would be in this case.

If you are asking about the stock exhaust, I think the inlet size is 2" or 2.25"

I had a muffler delete done on my car a few weeks ago and the stock exhaust was 1.75" from the resonators to the mufflers. the outlet from the resonators were actually 2.25" so I had them upgrade my straight pipes to that size.....

^yes I mean OEM exhaust piping

P.S. REALLY likes these. Slant cut oval, double edged, perforated "inter-cooled deign" and 4.75" so only about 1/2" larger than OEM. Tempting...

Good to know, so ended up with 2.25" piping straight thru to the tips?

You mind saying how much this was priced at? I know each shop will be different, just trying to get frame of reference.

Then have them cut them down at the neck. A mechanic with good welding skills can do just about anything. Very first thing I did to my car was have my mechanic cut off the OEM crap, and weld on some Magnaflow tips.

Oh wow... nice find, STownSaint! Those are beautiful! Saving that URL right now.

I'm psyched by your find, because I've been trolling for tips intended for next year's cat-back. Ironically for the OP, I'm planning on the ARK Grip, and the first thing I'll be doing with them is cutting off those big burnt Ti tips. LOL

To each their own.

Great find! This is the one I'm most probably getting.

P.S What do you guys think about black powder coated tips on a gray sedan?

I think the tips would get lost in the back if they were black, I'd paint the muffler cans black and show off the bright tips.
