Vibrant 1207 Tips are on...

I finally got my tips installed. I'm pretty happy, they really fill the bumper cutout.

I was on the fence for a while between tips and the Tanabe ABE.

havent posted here in awhile, but this caught my eye. Nice buy, nice find. Great for people who just want to spice up the rear a little without going with a full exhaust or changing sound. Bolt on? Weld? Have a direct profile pic to see how much they extend out from the rear?

Thank you. Is there enough neck on the tip to be cut down a little bit? I think they should be tucked in a little more. just my opinion.

I don't understand the logic? You didn't upgrade the actual exhaust and increased the exhaust tip?? Many think that the tanabe tips are a bit oversized and ill fitted to the bumper.

They cut them back already. It's the curve of the bumper that makes it look like that when taking the picture from the ground. Standing in person, they look good and don't stick out

Well, I didn't go larger per say. Stock tips are 3.5 x. 4.5, so technically they're just shaped different. As for the logic, my passenger side tip was starting to buzz and drove me nuts. As for not upgrading the exhaust, I really didn't want much noise increase at all. Tanabe provided no power increase and is just noise.
Besides, modding a car really isn't logical at all, it's about passion and desire (anti-logic).

The other part that bugged me about the stock tips is the shape, the bumper cut out is round, the tips are oval.

Those look nice Joe! I know Rochester might be interested in them as he is considering an ARK CBE but didn't care for the burnt tips on the ARK.

What the OP did here was worlds better than OEM, and I love that he did it. But no, that's not what I'm going for. I think I want to go back to the stock design for the 2010+ Sedan, just aftermarket-clean in basic oval, rolled with a 15* slash cut. Haven't started looking yet. Figure I'll do that over winter.

And not to ***** this thread. OP's car looks great.

Nice job Joe, really looks like a quality job and like you said, fills up the recesses in the bumper just right
Looks like our on-site vendor ThMotorports has them, are these the size you have Joe?
