Anyone try rewiring the parking light so that it can be use DRL? If so, what bright LED bulb brand did you try?

I'm thinking of doing this. I did it for my previous car before and thinking of doing the same thing to the G.

OP does parking light mean the bulb in the top corners of the headlight??

Been contemplating removal for quite some time, from what I can tell this bulb does not serve any real purpose and is very unaesthetic

That's what I have done because the 5k LED that I swapped in, in there would burn out either on one side or the other and It looks much cleaner especially when I drive around with my HID fogs and parking lights on at twilight.

OP. I guess the best solution for that would be LED 5K V3 Triton Switchbacks from VLEDs , the best light output, very noticeable during the day in the sun so that definitely could work as a DRL and serve the purpose of a turn signal too since they have built in resistors... kind of pricey but for the output they give, I'm certain that they are worth it and I am definitely gonna get them myself eventually...

No need to take bumper nor headlight out... you dont even have to take off the wheel... all you gotta do is turn the wheel as much as you can so you can get your hands in there and pop few clips and the socket for that top corner ( front side marker) bulb is right there... Yeah I think I have an old picture from the night I hooked up the 5k HIDs for fog lights and all...

don't get fooled by the switchback... it is not as bright as it seems in the picture... if it was as bright as it seems in the picture I wouldn't even bother to eventually switching to V3 Triton switchbacks that are probably as bright in person as these are in the picture or brighter

Yes, that's the spot I'm referring to not the turn signal light toward the grill. DRL in the top corner will look awesome. I'm thinking of VLED for that corner, I think it would be bright for daytime.
