hey bri, i was finally brave enough to remove the chrome fog light trim. I must admit the cracking and plastic tension sound was troubling but at the end I was able to remove it without any problems. Thank you once again for your inputs as it was very helpful. Now, I can finally plastic dip the chrome part..

Why didnt you dip it on the car? I did mine like that, super easy. Just masked around the entire area and laid the dip, then peeled off the lense. WaLa.DOMO

After getting my moonlight G back in November, I decided to toy around with the black grill by plastidipping it, seeing if I liked it, and then deciding if the midnight grill was worth it.
About 5 coats of plastidip later, the grill looked much better than I expected! I like the matte black look and its held up to the Chicago winter very well.
I just ordered the midnight grill off eBay for $130 as well. I figured I can really get a side-by-side comparison and post it up sometime next week!

As promised, here are a few comparison pics of the plastidipped grille vs. the midnight grille. My fog rings are also plastidipped for those of you dicussing earlier.
Personally, I love the look of the midnight grille, it just looks a lot more refined than plastidip ever could. But it all comes down to cost. For $130, the midnight grille was an excellent investment!
Please excuse the cracked license plate frame, it's getting fixed ASAP!
